It’s amazing to me- that there are those that think their opinion is the only one that matters.
I often hear,
“Your husband needs to re-enlist. You have a family to think about.” We are thinking about our family.
This military life has hurt our family in ways I’ll never share here.
But it’s also given us a roof, a start… helped us find ourselves, and each other.
Want my opinion?
This [military] life could be for everyone.
At times, it’s for no one.
But it is, and always will be, what you make it.
Then there may come a time, where you feel you’ve overstayed your welcome… and simply feel the need to move on.
There’s nothing wrong with moving on. In the next breath, there’s nothing wrong with staying put either.
As for us, we’re moving on. We’re choosing a different life. We’re taking a risk.
Jumping, feet first.
We’re confident we’ll land on solid ground…eventually.
